THE STORY BEHIND PIERRA
Built From Experience. Designed for Impact.
Pierra Company was created from a belief that the spaces we need do not always exist yet—and sometimes, we have to build them ourselves.
Rooted in lived experience, professional expertise, creativity, and a commitment to representation, Pierra brings together ventures designed to help people grow, lead, care for themselves, feel seen, and build lives and careers that reflect who they are.
From professional development and behavioral health to media, advocacy, beauty, and lifestyle, our work may take different forms, but it is connected by one purpose: creating what we believe should exist.
Meet the Founder
Developing People. Building Systems. Expanding Who Gets to Lead.
My career has taken me across behavioral health, applied behavior analysis, autism services, clinical operations, professional development, and organizational leadership. Along the way, I have worked directly with children and families, developed clinicians and leaders, built training programs and clinical systems, and helped organizations strengthen the quality of the services they provide.
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and clinical leader, I learned early that technical knowledge alone does not create exceptional professionals—or exceptional organizations. The strongest systems recognize the people within them. They make room for culture, identity, curiosity, confidence, empathy, and different ways of thinking.
That belief became the foundation for Pierra Company.
Representation Matters. Competence Matters, Too.
As a Black woman navigating ABA and executive leadership, I have also experienced what it means to bring valuable ideas, expertise, and leadership into spaces where people who look like me remain underrepresented, particularly in positions with the power to shape organizations and influence the direction of our field.
Those experiences changed what I wanted my next chapter to look like.
I created Pierra Company to build what I believe our field, and the people within it, deserve: culturally responsive services, meaningful professional development, stronger leadership, better systems, accessible resources, thoughtful research, and space for conversations that extend beyond our credentials.
Because I don't believe we have to separate the professional from the person.
Today, as I continue my doctoral studies in Applied Behavior Analysis, my work is expanding beyond the question of how we change behavior to include questions about how we develop people, build healthier organizations, strengthen leadership, improve representation, and create systems where more people have the opportunity to thrive.
Pierra Company is the culmination of those experiences, and the beginning of what I intend to build next.
WORKING TOGETHER
Researching the Questions That Matter
My academic journey continues to deepen this work. As a doctoral student in Applied Behavior Analysis, my interests include culturally responsive practice, representation within ABA, workforce and leadership development, staff training and professional development, and the experiences and support needs of neurodivergent professionals.
I am particularly interested in research that helps us better understand not only the individuals and families receiving services, but also the people providing those services.
01
How do we develop stronger clinicians?
02
How do we create environments in which neurodivergent professionals can thrive?
03
How do we increase representation while ensuring professionals have meaningful opportunities for mentorship, development, leadership, and advancement?
04
And how can behavioral science help us build systems that are more responsive to the people who exist within them?
These are questions I hope to continue exploring through research, education, leadership, and the work developed through Pierra Company.

Developing the Whole Person
My interest in development, however, does not end with professional achievement.
I believe people deserve the opportunity to develop as whole people.
Confidence. Identity. Culture. Leadership. Wellness. Beauty. Self-expression. Community. Purpose. The way we care for ourselves. The way we occupy spaces. The way we learn to recognize our own potential.
These Dimensions of Development Matter, Too
That belief is part of the foundation of Pierra Company and the inspiration behind The Muse Series. Through The Cultivation Muse, Skin Muse, Hair Muse, Curvy Muse, and Scent Muse, Pierra explores different dimensions of growth, identity, care, confidence, expression, and becoming.
At first glance, behavioral health, professional development, media, beauty, hair, fashion, fragrance, and personal growth may appear to occupy very different spaces.
To me, they are connected by the same question: What becomes possible when people are given the resources, representation, knowledge, opportunity, and space to develop fully?

THE PIERRA PHILOSOPHY
We are not interested in developing only one part of a person.
We are interested in creating what people need to grow, lead, express themselves, feel represented, and become more fully who they are.
